DROPKICK MURPHYS mit neuem Album und auf Tour!

DropkickMBoston-based band Dropkick Murphys are excited to announce the official January 11th release of their forthcoming album, ‘SIGNED and SEALED in BLOOD’, via the band's long-running label, Born and Bred Record via CoOperative Music. The album is their second with producer Ted Hutt (Gaslight Anthem), which was recorded at Boston’s Q Division studios and mixed by Joe Chiccarelli (The White Stripes). “We had such a great time writing our last album, Going Out In Styleand we were excited to get back into the studio right away,” says bassist and co-lead singer Ken Casey. “Where Going Out in Style was a concept album—kind of intricate and difficult—this one is catchy, fun, and is gonna damage a lot of speakers." ‘SIGNED and SEALED in BLOOD’ also features the banjo playing of Winston Marshall from Mumford & Sons on 'Prisoner's Song'. A collaboration that came about after Dropkick Murphys played Mumford’s ‘Gentlemen of the Road’ festival in Maine this year.

Since they first hit the scene in 1996, the Boston seven-piece have racked up record sales in excess of 4 million worldwide and have collaborated with numerous global superstars including Bruce Springsteen (who featured on ‘Going Out In Style’).  Their smash hit single “I’m Shipping Up to Boston” exceeded platinum status and was featured heavily in Martin Scorsese’s Academy Award-winning film, The Departed. Their 2011 offering, ‘Going Out In Style’, debuted in theBillboard Top 10 at #6, marking the band’s highest chart entry to date and heralding the continued success of their independent label Born & Bred Records. The band now sell out shows worldwide and have cultivated one of the most fervent fan bases in rock music.
